Symptoms

During a production swap, the user encounters an issue with the initial program load (IPL) of one of their Logical partitions (LPAR). The root cause is that the Write to Operator with Reply (WTOR) message number GDDO012A has changed.
Error message: GDDO012A Please Confirm action of system-name (Yes/No)
Cause: Geographically Dispersed Disaster Restart (GDDR) is requesting operator permission to take the indicated action against the indicated system. This message is preceded by the message GDDO011I giving more details.
The user has automation configured to reply to this WTOR. Not having the LPAR name results in a reply of NO instead of YES. This change results in a delay in the critical path of the production swap.

Previously the message provided the specific LPAR name. Now HMC shows the site location (DCx) instead of the * LPAR name.

Cause

The message number GDDO012A was incorrectly updated in a code change for a fix in GDDR 5.3.
