Cause
Un problema con il firmware dell'unità interna può causare un ripristino imprevisto del dispositivo. Una volta eseguito il ripristino, la formattazione dell'unità è danneggiata e i dati non sono più disponibili.
Resolution
Dell Technologies consiglia di installare questo firmware aggiornato su tutte le unità Skybolt di Seagate il prima possibile per evitare questo problema.
I sistemi che non dispongono di un contratto di assistenza attivo possono ripristinare la funzionalità dell'unità riformattando utilizzando utilità del sistema operativo come sg_format.
Nota: Il completamento della riformattazione delle unità di grande capacità può richiedere molto tempo.
