PowerStore: Pre upgrade health check (PUHC) to ensure Compatibility and Version Control for Rx-Definitions Package in PowerStore
Summary: The PowerStore Pre-Upgrade health check (PUHC) pd_manifest_version_check includes checks to ensure compatibility and version control of RxDefinitions package.
Symptoms
When attempting to install a new RxDefinitions package, the Pre upgrade health check (PUHC) may fail with the following error: "PowerDoctor manifest version check failed. Installed version of PowerDoctor manifest is same or higher than the new version. Please install a newer version of Rx-Definitions package (if available). Refer to Knowledge Base Article 000228279 for additional details. (pd_manifest_version_check)".
The health check is an off-release PUHC check that is contained in the Health Check thin package. See the Additional Info section of this article for information about the Health Check thin package.
As seen from the PowerStore Manager user interface (UI):

Cause
The pd_manifest_version_check PUHC ensures that the version of the new RxDefinitions package's manifest file is greater than the installed version. This PUHC check fails If the installed version is greater or equal to the new version. For supported RxDefinition package versions, see KB# 000193518 PowerStore: Landing Page for RxDefinitions Issues
Impact
This PUHC prevents NDU to Rx-Definition package with manifest version lower than installed version.
