Using Solutions Enabler (symcli):

 

In the below output, check the flag "(M)asking View      X = Contained in Mask View(s)" flag,  . = N/A , here '.' indicates storage group is not in any masking view 

symsg -sid xxx list

OR

 

Look for storage groups with a "Masking View Count" of 0. This indicates that the storage group is not active in any masking views.

Using Unisphere for PowerMax UI:

  • Login to Unisphere for PowerMax and select the select the array.
  • Go to Storage > Storage Groups to open the Storage Groups list view.
  • Filter the Masking View as 0

This will list the storage not in Masking View.

Filter the Masking View as 0 in UI

NOTE: If the Masking View is not listed under the Storage Groups list view, you can add it by clicking the three lines near the filter option.
