Symptoms

  • Yritetään käynnistää NetWorker Remote Exec (nsrexecd) -palvelu aiheuttaa seuraavan virheen:

    "The NetWorker Remote Exec Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."

Käyttöliittymässä näkyvä virheilmoitus

  • pikanäppäimellä daemon.raw loki (sijaitsee osoitteessa C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\logs\ Windowsissa tai /nsr/logs/ Linuxissa) sisältää seuraavanlaisen merkinnän
RAP critical Attributes 'name' or 'my hostname' of the nsrla resource do not resolve to the machine's hostname 'clientname.domain.com'. To correct the error, it may be necessary to delete the NSRLA database.

Cause

Työasemajärjestelmä nimettiin uudelleen, mutta NSRLA-tietokanta sisältää edelleen aiemman isäntänimen. Tämä epäsuhta estää nsrexecd Palvelu alustuksesta oikein. 

Resolution

  1. Pysäytä kaikki asiakkaan NetWorker-palvelut.
  2. Nimeä NSRLA-tietokantahakemisto uudelleen:
    • Windows:
      Nimetä uudelleen C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\res\nsrladb jotta nsrladb_old
    • Linux:
      Nimetä uudelleen /nsr/res/nsrladb jotta nsrladb_old
  3. Käynnistä NetWorker-palvelut uudelleen.
    Uusi NSRLA-tietokanta luodaan oikealla isäntänimellä.
