Symptoms

RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines operations Test a Copy & Failover brengt het besturingssysteem van de VM's naar voren zodat de gebruiker ze kan testen.

In dit geval werd opgemerkt dat Windows-VM's vastzaten in een opstartlus. De VM-console toont het Windows-logo en een stippelcirkel die continu ronddraait.

Cause

Bij een normale replicatiestatus op de doelsite stuurt de splitter geen verkeer naar de RecoverPoint Appliances (RPA's). Tijdens het testen van een kopie- of failoverbewerking is voor alle schrijfbewerkingen van de VM's erkenning van de RPA's vereist.

Een netwerkconfiguratieprobleem verhindert de splitter naar RPA-communicatie, waardoor de schrijfbewerkingen van de doel-VM mislukken en het besturingssysteem niet correct opstart.

Resolution

Los de netwerkconfiguratieproblemen op tussen de ESXi-hosts en de RecoverPoint Appliances. Valideer correct VMkernel Adapters zijn geconfigureerd en als ze niet bestaan, voegt u ze toe.
