Rozhraní NetWorker REST API se používá pro programový přístup ke službě NetWorker Data Protection Service.  Ověřovací služba NetWorker (authc) je konfigurována na vzdáleném serveru NetWorker, takže požadavek rozhraní NetWorker REST API musí obsahovat ověřovací informace.  Rozhraní NetWorker REST API v3 a novější mohou obsahovat ověřovací server s vlastní hlavičkou.  Hodnota klíče by měla obsahovat IP adresu ověřovacího serveru nebo plně kvalifikovaný název domény (FQDN) a ověřovací port (default=9090):
 
Klíč: ADRESA URL
ZÁKLADNY X-NW AUTHCHodnotu: AUTHC_IP/AUTHC_FQDN:9090

Následující příklad klienta rozhraní API ukazuje použití této hlavičky k instruování identifikátoru URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) rozhraní API, aby k autorizaci používal hostitele zadaného v hlavičce místo hostitele zadaného v identifikátoru URI.

V tomto příkladu se připojujeme k rozhraní REST API na serveru NetWorker "nve":

Autorizace pro tento požadavek však byla zpracována na "networker-mc":

Pokud nemáte přístup ke klientovi API, můžete to také potvrdit příkazem linux curl .
