Cause
This is because the Data-mover/VDM is not able to query the user from the LDAP/Naming server, even though the 'server_ldap' command works.

Resolution
-
Download the nsswitch.conf file from the physical data-mover on the /home/nasadmin directory (first)
[root@VNX~]# server_file server_2 -get nsswitch.conf nsswitch.conf server_2 : done
-
Upload the nsswitch.conf file from /home/nasadmin onto the VDM.
[root@VNX~]# server_file vdm1 -put nsswitch.conf nsswitch.conf vdm1 : done
Additional Information
When configuration nsdomain is on the VDM, it is necessary that the nsswitch.conf files are also configured on the root of the VDM.
