在 Linux 上，當後端 I/O 路徑仍可使用時 （亦即 HBA 仍可看到目標 Lun），無法移除 Powerpath 虛擬裝置，因為 powermt 移除回報「裝置忙碌」;已驗證目標虛擬裝置是否已從 LVM 或 Oracle ASM 等管理中移除 將主機重新開機也無法運作。
Cause
某些守護程式仍會使偽裝置及/或其原生路徑保持開啟狀態。根據 PP 開發團隊的說法，這就是 Powerpath 判斷裝置是否忙碌的方式：
PowerPath 只會追蹤從使用者空間傳送下來的開啟，以判斷是否有任何程序 （或多個程序） 正在使用裝置，而如果有任何開啟處於作用中，則 PowerPath 將不允許將裝置從其控制中移除。 這包括啟動 PowerPath 之前在裝置上的開啟次數。 但它不會跟蹤打開設備的進程（如進程名稱或進程ID）。 因此，PowerPath 無法列出可能已開啟裝置的程序。
