Symptoms
GeoDrive creates an empty object that is named _$folder$ within a new directory.
Cause
GeoDrive needs a place to store metadata for directories hence creates an empty object that is named _$folder$.
Resolution
GeoDrive is working as designed. The _$folder$ is required to hold the metadata within the directory. This cannot be prohibited as it is a requirement for the operations of GeoDrive.
