SE: symrcopy set pace command fails with message: The requested action cannot be performed

Symptoms

symrcopy set pace command was performed for some OR sessions after performed symrcopy activate command for the OR sessions, however the symrcopy set pace command failed as follows:
The requested action cannot be performed in the current state of one or more devices.

In the symapi.log, the following error was recorded.

EMC:SYMRCOPY findPaceSkips Cannot set Pace a session on dev:00XXX, sid:000XXXXXXXXX, state: 0x1d

Cause

This is working as designed.

The OR session state 0x1d means Copied status (SYSC_SC_SESSION_DONE).

symrcopy set pace command allows the session pace to be changed while in the CopyInProg state.

Resolution

Run the following command for OR sessions which have CopyInProg state.

symrcopy set pace
