Cause

当主 MDM 必须更改数据块的状态时,它必须将这些状态更改写入 MDM 存储库文件,然后将这些更改同步到从属 MDM。这些写入作完成后,MDM 通知 SDS 更改已完成,它们可以继续仅从主拷贝向 SDC 写入 IO(直到重建完成)。

一旦主 MDM 无法更新辅助 MDM,就会导致 MDM 无法足够快地响应 SDS 请求,并可能导致 SDC 上出现 IO 错误。

由于群集成员之间缺乏同步,无法进行 MDM 切换,并且问题似乎出在主 MDM 上,因此必须将另一个 MDM 添加到系统中,位于不存在连接问题的其他位置,并将其替换为其中一个辅助 MDM,然后切换到它。 以这种方式将有问题的主 MDM 踢出群集。

Resolution

解决方法

在 SVM 环境中,如果 GW 虚拟机不驻留在 ESXi 服务器的本地驱动器上,则可以将其用于安装新 MDM 以进行切换的作,并且可以通过 vMotion 迁移到没有问题的其他 ESXi,或者通过此解决方法在任何虚拟机上安装 MDM。

在非 SVM 环境中,虚拟机或非 MDM 节点可用于安装作,并为切换使用新 MDM。
