Symptoms

This behavior occurs at version and maintenance level for GDDR 5.3 Program Temporary Fix (PTF) GD53089.

The customer sets Y for DELETE BOTH RO & RW copy, but only the RW copy is deleted for the Disk Library for mainframe (DLm) Tape files.

Cause

The GDD2P02A script is used to resume after a disaster recovery test.
This only honors the Delete All Snapshots call override value if the user opens the call override panel when submitting the script.

Resolution

Workaround:
  • Since the RO copy of the snapshot is left, manually delete and rerun PA02A script with the option set to DELETE both RO and RW copies.
Permanent Fix:
Download and install the appropriate PTF from Dell Online Support to address this issue.
  • For GDDR 5.3 - PTF GD53105
  • For GDDR 6.0 - PTF GD60016
