Symptoms

添加具有四个网络适配器的虚拟 RecoverPoint 设备 （vRPA），但拓扑未同时使用所有四个网络适配器，在尝试添加新 vRPA 时，Deployment Manager 会失败。

即使未启用 DHCP，Deployment Manager 日志也会显示以下内容：

DM 日志显示： 
2023-05-23 11:30:25,004 [pool-1-thread-1] (BaseInstallationServerAdapter.java:125) ERROR - Failed validating password for rpa: RPA [ip=null, isCredentails=Credentials [user=boxmgmt, password=*****], fapiCredentials=null, alternativeISCredentails=null, number=-1, siteName=null, version=null, boxWWNs=null, rpaState=null, generation=UNKNOWN]
java.lang.NullPointerException: null arguments: ip=null

Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException: null arguments: ip=null

2023-05-23 11:32:22,397 [pool-1-thread-1] (BaseDMCommand.java:152) ERROR - VerifyBoxUpLogicCommand FAILED
com.emc.dm.exception.InstallationFlowException: Rpa: null is down.

Cause

此问题与添加具有 4 个 NIC 但使用不同拓扑的 vRPA 有关，例如 DATA_IS_SEPARATED and not DUAL_DATA_NICS.

Resolution
