Consoleregistratie is standaard ingeschakeld in Dell OS10-switches. Dit betekent dat de berichten worden weergegeven op de fysieke console van het apparaat.
Gebruikers die fysiek verbonden zijn met de router of switch kunnen deze berichten direct bekijken. Consolelogging is handig voor real-time monitoring en debugging.
Tijdens probleemoplossingssessies kan de logboekregistratie van de console soms afleidend zijn. Het kan ook meer CPU verbruiken. In dergelijke gevallen kunnen we het loggen van de console veilig uitschakelen.
