Connectrix MDS 'Telnet' Service Stops Responding Leading to a Core File

Symptoms

The user receives the following message indicating a process was unresponsive and a 'core' file is saved. However, there is no impact seen on the switch. 
in.dcos-telnetd(non-sysmgr) crashed, core will be saved
The following message is seen in the switch show.logging log.
2024 Mar 15 09:51:05 ffsanedge07 %SYSMGR-2-LAST_CORE_BASIC_TRACE: : PID 15280 with message in.dcos-telnetd(non-sysmgr) crashed, core will be saved

Cause

This issue is observed when a Telnet connection is initiated to the switch by Tenable Nessus for Security.

Confirm that the Telnet feature is enabled by running the below command:
`show feature` [vdc 1]
Feature Name         Instance State

telnetServer         1        enabled

Resolution

Workaround:
Disable Telnet and use SSH instead.
