Symptoms
In ServerDR.log, the following error displays:
500 : "{"code":500,"reason":"backup operation is already running on report node","timestamp":1682784878571,"path":"/api/v2/report-service/component-backups"}"
Cause
The example error message indicates a backup operation, but the error can occur during any server Disaster Recovery (DR) operation, including restores and deletes. If a different server DR operation fails, the backup is replaced with the other type. If the failure occurs and no other server DR operation is running, then all server DR operations fail until the issue is resolved.
Resolution
This is addressed in version 19.14.
To resolve the issue:
If another server DR operation is running:
- Wait for the other server DR operation to complete.
- Retry the failed server DR operation.
If no other server DR operation is running:
- Log in to the PowerProtect Data Manager server console using administrator credentials and change to the root user.
- Run the
cd /usr/local/brs/lib/ monitoring/bincommand. - Run the
monitoring restartcommand.
