Probleem:
Klanten en gebruikers zijn op zoek naar informatie over VPLEX SRA-compatibiliteit met VPLEX- en metro-knooppuntclusters.

Cause

VPLEX SRA is niet compatibel met VPLEX en metro-knooppuntcluster.

Resolution

  • Einde van support: VPLEX SRA heeft enkele jaren geleden het einde van de ondersteuning (EOS) bereikt en wordt niet langer onderhouden of ondersteund.
  • Laatst ondersteunde versie: De laatst ondersteunde versie, 6.1.0.126, heeft nu EOS (End of Support) bereikt.
  • Escalatie: Aangezien SRA EOS is, kan het niet worden geëscaleerd naar VPLEX- of Metro-knooppuntescalatie-engineering.
  • Compatibiliteit:
    • SRA is NIET getest of ontwikkeld voor:
      • VPLEX GeoSynchrony versies 6.2 patch 7 en hoger
      • Metro-knooppuntversies 7.x, 8.x en 9.x
    • Daarom kan het niet in deze omgevingen worden gebruikt.

VPLEX Storage Replication Adapter (SRA) is een softwarecomponent van Dell Technologies die kan worden geïntegreerd met VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM). Hierdoor kan SRM communiceren met VPLEX-storagesystemen om replicatie en failover te orkestreren tijdens noodherstelbewerkingen.
