Symptoms

  • VMware VM 備份解決方案是使用 NetWorker VMware Protection （NVP） vProxy 應用裝置進行設定。
  • VM 備份失敗，並出現下列錯誤：
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SSZ ERROR:  Request to remove snapshot 'snapshot-###' on VM 'VM_NAME' was rejected by vCenter 'Hypervisor_Name': ServerFaultCode: Current license or ESXi version prohibits execution of the requested operation.

Cause

此錯誤訊息會從 VMware API 傳回 vProxy 應用裝置。在快照建立或移除作業期間，vProxy 應用裝置會傳送要求給 vCenter，以執行適當的建立或移除作業。

此問題的根本原因是免費 （非商業性） VMware 授權未提供足夠的 VMware vSphere 儲存裝置 API 支援 - 資料保護。

Resolution

有兩個可用的選項：

選項 1：

您必須聯絡 VMware 授權，以取得支援 VMware vSphere 儲存裝置 API - 資料保護 （先前稱為 VMware vStorage API for Data Protection （VADP） 的 VMware 授權。套用適當的授權後，NVP vProxy 解決方案支援 VMware 映射式保護。 
 

選項 2：

如果您無法取得商業 VMware 授權，可以使用此方法;它不支援 VMware 映射式保護。在需要保護的 VM 上安裝 NetWorker 用戶端軟體。VM 的備份和復原方式與實體系統類似。
