Connectrix MDS: Linjekortet startar inte med felet "PORT-5-MODULE_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED"

Symptoms

Det gick inte att starta ett linjekort när det sattes in i en MDS-kortplats som var upptagen tidigare.

När det nya radkortet är av samma modell som det ursprungliga radkortet visas följande syslog-meddelande:

%PORT-5-MODULE_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED: Not allowing module 8 to come up for reason: Speed group configuration is not supported. (0x4029018c)

Om det nya linjekortet är en annan modell än det ursprungliga linjekortet visas följande syslog-meddelande:

%PORT-5-MODULE_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED: Not allowing module 10 to come up for reason: Speed change not allowed (0x4029007f)

I båda scenarierna spelas följande sekvenser av syslogs in:

%VMM-2-VMM_SERVICE_ERR: VDC1: Service SAP Port manager (high) for slot 8 returned error 0x402901ac (Module insertion failed) in if_bind sequence

%IM-3-IM_RESP_ERROR: Component MTS_SAP_VMM opcode:MTS_OPC_IM_IF_VDC_BIND in vdc:1 returned error:Module insertion failed

%IM-3-IM_SEQ_ERROR: Error (Module insertion failed) while communicating with component MTS_SAP_VMM opcode:MTS_OPC_IM_IF_VDC_BIND (for:RID_MODULE: 8)

%MODULE-2-LCM_MODULE_INSERT_FAILURE_NEG_RSP: Slot-8 has failed to boot up because of service "Im SAP" due to module insertion failure

Modulen försätts slutligen i ett feltillstånd som visas i show module command:

Cause

Problem med Cisco-interoperabilitet

Resolution

Lösning:
Kör kommandot för att förhindra det här problemet. purge module x running-config medan kortplatsen är tom.

Om problemet redan har inträffat säkerhetskopierar du konfigurationen och kör följande kommandon som är störande.

write erase
write erase boot
reload
