Connectrix MDS: Linecard starter ikke opp med feil 'PORT-5-MODULE_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED'

Symptoms

Et linjekort kunne ikke starte opp når det ble satt inn i et MDS Director-spor som tidligere var fylt ut.

Når det nye linjekortet er av samme modell som det opprinnelige linjekortet, vises følgende syslog-melding:

%PORT-5-MODULE_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED: Not allowing module 8 to come up for reason: Speed group configuration is not supported. (0x4029018c)

Hvis det nye linjekortet er en annen modell enn det opprinnelige linjekortet, vises følgende syslog-melding:

%PORT-5-MODULE_BRINGUP_NOT_ALLOWED: Not allowing module 10 to come up for reason: Speed change not allowed (0x4029007f)

I begge scenariene registreres følgende sekvenser av syslogs:

%VMM-2-VMM_SERVICE_ERR: VDC1: Service SAP Port manager (high) for slot 8 returned error 0x402901ac (Module insertion failed) in if_bind sequence

%IM-3-IM_RESP_ERROR: Component MTS_SAP_VMM opcode:MTS_OPC_IM_IF_VDC_BIND in vdc:1 returned error:Module insertion failed

%IM-3-IM_SEQ_ERROR: Error (Module insertion failed) while communicating with component MTS_SAP_VMM opcode:MTS_OPC_IM_IF_VDC_BIND (for:RID_MODULE: 8)

%MODULE-2-LCM_MODULE_INSERT_FAILURE_NEG_RSP: Slot-8 has failed to boot up because of service "Im SAP" due to module insertion failure

Modulen går til slutt inn i en feiltilstand , som vist i show module command:

Cause

Problem med Cisco-interoperabilitet

Resolution

Løsning:
Hvis du vil unngå dette problemet, kjører du kommandoen purge module x running-config mens sporet er tomt.

Hvis problemet allerede har oppstått, kan du ta en sikkerhetskopi av konfigurasjonen og kjøre følgende kommandoer som er forstyrrende.
