PowerProtect Data Manager: TSDM SQL application-aware snapshot creation backups fail

Symptoms

The PowerProtect Data Manager TSDM SQL application-aware backup shows the following when trying to create a Lightweight Delta (LWD) snapshot:

Cause

There is a firewall configured in the environment preventing the virtual machine (VM) vflragentd process from communicating with the SQL Client.

Resolution

Ensure that a firewall exception for the vflragentd process and default port (9613) are added to the Microsoft SQL Client and firewall configuration.
