Oudere BIOS-weergave

Nieuwere Dell notebooks die zijn uitgerust met USB-C- of Thunderbolt-controllers maken de configuratie van deze technologieën in het BIOS mogelijk met één invoer. De lay-out of weergave hiervan was echter op de een of andere manier verwarrend, aangezien functies die "niet geïnstalleerd" waren nog steeds zichtbaar maar niet beschikbaar waren (volgens de onderstaande afbeelding).

Nieuwe BIOS-weergave

Na het uitbrengen van nieuwere BIOS-versies, zoals het onderstaande voorbeeld van Precision 5520 met de nieuwste BIOS 1.1.3, verandert dit in afzonderlijke BIOS-items.

  1. USB-configuratie:

    In het gedeelte Systeemconfiguratie vindt u instellingen voor USB-configuratie

  2. Dell Type-C Dock Configuration:

    In het gedeelte Systeemconfiguratie vindt u de instellingen voor de configuratie van het Dell Type-C dockingstation

  3. Thunderbolt-adapterconfiguratie:

Het doel is om de weergave van de geïnstalleerde technologie te verbeteren en eventuele verwarring te beperken. Dell biedt BIOS-versies voor systemen met deze technologie en we raden u aan uw systeem te onderhouden met actuele BIOS-versies. De nieuwste versies kunt u vinden op de Dell Support website onder de sectie Drivers en downloads voor uw systeem.
