DD3300 käyttää mukautettua Dell R740xd -alustaa, jossa fyysinen paikkanumerointi alkaa 0:sta, kun taas Data Domain -ohjelmisto tunnistaa levyt, jotka alkavat numerosta 1. Tämä epäsuhta aiheuttaa sekaannusta, kun hälytystietoja korreloidaan fyysisten levyjen sijainteihin.

Ymmärrä DD3300:n paikkanumeroiden erot.

  • Fyysiset kolikkopelit: Aloita numerosta 0.
  • Ohjelmiston levytunnukset: Aloita numerosta 1 (muoto: Enclosure.DiskEsim. 1.18).

  • Määritä kotelon ja paikan tiedot hälytyksessä -> tässä tapauksessa  Enclosure=1:Disk=18 
  • Tarkista yllä olevista asettelutaulukoista, mitkä fyysiset paikat liittyvät hälytyksen koteloon ja levypaikan tietoihin. 
    • 1 levy 18, sijaitsee fyysisessä paikassa #17. 

    Levyhälytykset voidaan kartoittaa oikeaan kiintolevypaikkaan myös komentoriviliittymän (command-line interface) avulla.
    Suorita seuraavat komennot näyttääksesi levyn ja paikan yhdistämismäärityksen tiedot.
