Symptoms



When attempting to configure LDAP on the e-management vApp manager, receive a pop-up stating "Configuration Error".

Cause

The error being reported in the /opt/emc/SMAS/jboss/standalone/log/server.log file was:
 

"Error querying for user groups"


These 3 fields could produce this error:
  • Group Search Path:
  • Group Object Class:
  • Group Name Attribute:

Resolution

Double check the settings with the AD/LDAP administrator.
