Symptoms

 

Bij het implementeren van een vertrouwd apparaat van Dell door Microsoft Configuration Manager en het gebruik van een implementatietype van Windows Installer (.msi-bestand), mislukt de installatie met fout 1603.

In het installatielogboek wordt het volgende weergegeven:

-- MSI LOGGING -- Existing Product Version: , Minimum Product Version to check against: 2.7.99.0
-- MSI LOGGING -- Exception ModifyTDLocallyCachedMsi: Version string portion was too short or too long.

 

Cause

Resolution

 

In plaats daarvan moet een scriptimplementatietype worden gebruikt.
