Symptoms

The following error appears in the Avamar Administrator UI:

Symptom Code 52755
Event Name: HW_VDISK_LOST_REDUND_G4T
 

A dial home may also be generated.

Cause

A virtual disk has lost data redundancy on a Gen4T node.

One or more hard drives in the virtual disk have failed. 

  • Due to the failed hard drive or disks, the virtual disk is no longer maintaining redundant (mirrored or parity) data.
  • The failure of an additional hard drive will result in lost data. 

Resolution

If a failed disk is found, or assistance is required, open a service request with the Dell Technologies Avamar Support team for assistance.
