This is a Video KB which will show how to check if Hosts have consistent VAAI Settings.
Will also show how to change the settings through vCenter GUI. 

For VAAI to function properly all ESXi hosts connected to the same LUNs must have their VAAI settings configured similarly, preferably all three enabled.

The three VAAI settings are:

  • /VMFS3/HardwareAcceleratedLocking
  • /DataMover/HardwareAcceleratedMove
  • /DataMover/HardwareAcceleratedInit

[/VMFS3/HardwareAcceleratedLocking - This setting affects VMFS 5 & 6 despite being in the VMFS3 root]
