Symptoms

Powerflex "Used for File" and "Used for Virtual Storage" shows 0 under the "Explore > All Devices > List of Devices > device > Device Summary > Block Storage CI Summary > Capacity > Usable Capacity by Pool"  report .

Cause

Working as designed.  This is hardcoded to 0 in the inline calculation filter.

inline calculation filter file /opt/APG/Collecting/Inline-Calculation-Filter/emc-scaleio/conf/emc-scaleio-icf.xml has it set to zero directly in the jexl formula.

Resolution

This is working as designed.
  • Used for Virtual Storage is not supported for Dell PowerFlex.
  • ScaleIO 3.x version does not support file capacity.
