Symptoms

尝试将 Data Domain 系统加入 Active Directory 时，操作失败，并显示类似于以下内容的错误：
messages.engineering:
ddsh: NOTICE: MSG-DDSH-00009: (tty=pts/2, session=13161) sysadmin: command "cifs set authentication active-directory abc.xyz.com <IP>"..

sms: NOTICE: Could not join domain abc.xyz.com

sms: NOTICE: cifs_join: result_status [3] result_string [Failed with internal error (no output)]

Cause

如果密码包含多字节字符，则将 Data Domain 加入 Active Directory （AD） 失败。
 
  • Data Domain 支持 ASCII 和扩展 ASCII 字符，但不支持多字节字符
  • 此限制仅适用于加入 AD 时使用的用户密码。
  • 它不适用于连接到 Data Domain 上的 CIFS 共享时的用户身份验证。

Resolution

  • 此问题不会影响 Data Domain 上的数据访问。
