A DD TSE will need to get access to bash mode to perform this process for a customer: 
# system bash enter
# mkdir /ddr/var/core/historical_database_backup
# cp /ddr/ext/ddr/hd/* /ddr/var/core/historical_database_backup
This will create a backup of the historical database in the core partition of the DD.
