Sintomi
The computer audio may not switch automatically to headphones when connected and continues to play through the computer speakers. The Realtek High Definition audio driver may have issues with the Headphones.
Note: Headphone and headsets are different devices. Headphones are simple stereo devices while headsets are headphones that include microphones.
Causa
Realtek Audio Driver does not enable the headphone jack.

The resolution is to update the Realtek Audio Driver to version 6.0.8940.1 or later. The headphone jack is enabled in the updated driver. The Waves Maxx application is optional if only headphones are needed.
