증상
When iozone is running intensive read/write benchmarks against an NFS share, commands such as
ls, find, and other filesystem-related operations become blocked and appear to hang. The issue is reproducible during active benchmark execution and impacts general system responsiveness for processes accessing the same NFS mount.
원인
Lab testing reproduced the issue and showed that during sustained iozone write activity to the NFS export, the Linux client delayed issuing the
ls request to Unity until the ongoing write workload finished.
해결
The observed behavior is attributable to the Linux NFS client implementation and was not caused by the Unity storage system. The customer should engage Red Hat Linux Support for further analysis and guidance regarding the client-side behavior.
