DellEMC PowerEdge vSAN7.0 Readynode Profiles

ESXi7.0 is a next major OS release from VMware which has been certified on Dell PowerEdge servers. Refer to VMware webpage to know more about on what is new with vSAN7.0. 

Following are the highlights on Dell PowerEdge servers with respect to vSAN7.0:-

• DellEMC has certified 16 servers for vSAN7.0 that includes 90+ configuration with different ReadyNode configuration profiles and listed in VSAN HCL on ESXi7.0 GA.

• For a list of vSAN certified components such as I/O controller, HDD & SSD, Please refer to the BYO [Build your own based on certified components].

• For BYO, one of the pre-requisites is to ensure that server is certified for ESXi7.0 and listed in VMware HCL. Refer VMware HCL to know list of DellEMC servers certified for ESXi7.0

• DellEMC doesn’t support NVMe surprise removal with ESXi7.0 due to known issue. Refer to Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers Release Notes for details.

• Refer to the VMware KB article which provide guidance on what can and cannot change in the vSAN ReadyNode BOM.
