PowerPath: Opgradering af PPMA mislykkes

Ved opgradering fra PPMA 2.0.1.0.206 til 2.1.1.0.74 eller derover mislykkes opgraderingen med:

(Bemærk, for en højere udgivelse er meddelelserne identiske ... med f.eks. 2.2.0.0.97 i stedet for 2.1.1.0.74 i ovenstående eksempel)

Problemet skyldes, at operativsystemet ændres i den seneste PPMA-version,
ældre PPMA-versioner bruger SLES-version = 11.3-1.138.
Den seneste PPMA-version bruger SLES-version = 12.1-1.331

Når OS-versionen ændres, er der ingen anden måde at undgå denne fejl på end at eksportere konfigurationen fra det gamle operativsystem (Vapp), genimplementere den nye version og importere konfigurationsoplysninger.

Eksempel 1: Opgrader til EMC PPMA 2.1.1
1.SSH til EMC PPMA 2.0.1 VM, og kør derefter scriptet for at eksportere EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1-konfigurationen.
chmod +x export_vApp1.x_Config
2. ./export_vApp1.2.x_Konfiguration
3. Kopier den resulterende export_vApp1.2.x_Config.zip fil til det lokale skrivebord eller en ekstern placering.

Case 2: Opgrader til EMC PPMA 2.2.x og nyere
1.SSH til EMC PPMA 2.0.1 VM, og kør derefter scriptet for at eksportere EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1-konfigurationen.
Kopiér det export_ppma_config script fra hele PPMA 2.2.x-pakken (det er ikke inkluderet i opgraderingspakken)
chmod +x export_ppma_config
2. ./export_ppma_config
3. Kopier den resulterende Powerpath_Management_Appliance.zip fil til det lokale skrivebord eller en ekstern placering.

4. Notér dig oplysningerne om EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance-implementeringsparameteren.
5. Luk EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1 VM ned.
Slet ikke EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1 VM før efter vellykket import af EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.1.1 (eller nyere).
6. Udrul EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.1.1 (eller nyere) med de samme EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance-implementeringsparametre som EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.0.1
7. Start den nye virtuelle EMC PowerPath-enheds VM
.8. I den opgraderede PowerPath Virtual Appliance-webkonsol skal du gå til Systemindstillinger >>
og importere ZIP-konfigurationsfilen og derefter importere filen vApp1.2.x_Config.zip [hhv. Powerpath_Management_Appliance.zip med 2.2 og derover].
Når du er færdig:
Efter en vellykket import kan EMC PowerPath Virtual Appliance 2.01 slettes.
Det er ikke nødvendigt at genstarte efter opgraderinger ved hjælp af opgraderingsscriptet.
