Inzicht in ondersteuning van het Windows-besturingssysteem voor Intel processors van de 7e tot 10e generatie

Apparaten die een Intel-processor gebruiken die tussen 2016 en 2020 is geproduceerd, hebben verschillende ondersteuning voor het besturingssysteem. Het is belangrijk om te weten welke versies van Microsoft Windows officieel door Microsoft worden ondersteund en driverondersteuning van Dell hebben. 

Deze processors gebruiken de volgende generatiecodenamen en serienummers:

  • 7e generatie: Kaby Lake (7xxx-serie)
  • 8e generatie: Kaby Lake Refresh, Coffee Lake, Whiskey Lake, Amber Lake (8xxx-serie)
  • 9e generatie: Coffee Lake Refresh (9xxx-serie)
  • 10e generatie: Comet Lake, Ice Lake (10xxx-serie)

Microsoft Windows-versies die worden ondersteund met Intel processors van de 7e tot 10e generatie

Microsoft en Dell ondersteunen de volgende besturingssystemen op producten met processors van de 7e tot en met de 10e generatie:

  • Windows 11 (beperkte ondersteuning voor sommige processors van de 7e generatie)
  • Windows 10

Deze besturingssystemen zijn geoptimaliseerd voor gebruik met nieuwere hardware en ontvangen regelmatig updates van Microsoft. Microsoft Windows-versies die niet worden ondersteund met Intel processors van de 7e tot en met de 10e generatie

Oudere versies van Windows worden niet ondersteund op nieuwere Intel processors. Deze omvatten:

  • Windows 8.1
  • Windows 8
  • Windows 7

Dell biedt geen drivers, support of installatiehulp voor deze besturingssystemen op systemen met processors van de 7e generatie of nieuwer.

Virtuele machines gebruiken om oudere Windows-besturingssystemen uit te voeren op moderne apparaten

Als u Windows 7 moet gebruiken op een systeem met een nieuwere processor, kunt u een virtuele machine maken met Hyper-V in Windows 11 of Windows 10Deze hyperlink leidt u naar een website buiten Dell Technologies.. Hierdoor kunt u Windows 7 uitvoeren in een afgesloten omgeving zonder dat u native hardwareondersteuning nodig hebt.

Opmerking: Een geldige Windows 7-licentie is vereist. Dell biedt geen legacy-licenties.

Windows 11 biedt beperkte ondersteuning voor processors van de 7e generatie. Om te bepalen of uw apparaat in aanmerking komt, downloadt u de Microsoft PC Health Check-appDeze hyperlink leidt u naar een website buiten Dell Technologies. en voert u deze uit.
