Answer
The UCS fnic vHBA timeout settings can be viewed in UCSM element manager under Servers > Policies > Adapter Policies, then look for the FC Adapter Policies. By default, VCE will use the FC policies for VMware, Linux, and Windows for ESXi and bare metal service profiles with a default Link Down Timeout of 30,000 ms (30 seconds). This should be sufficient to buffer any failover between array storage controllers during a NDU (non-disruptive upgrade) process.
