Instructies

A system administrator can set a Group Policy Object (GPO) to change this behavior.

This can also be changed from the Unity side using the following commands:

  1. To check the current values:
svc_nas <NAS_server_name> -param -facility cifs -info srvpwd.updtMinutes

The default is zero.

  1. To change this value for a single NAS server:
svc_nas <NAS_server_name> -param -f cifs -m srvpwd.updtMinutes -v <MINUTES>"

Example:

svc_nas TestNAS -param -f cifs -m srvpwd.updtMinutes -v 1440

The 1440 value is 1 day in minutes. Insert a different value in the -v field (in minutes) if wanted.

  1. To change this value for all NAS servers:
svc_nas ALL -param -f cifs -m srvpwd.updtMinutes -v 1440
  1. Restart the NAS servers. The NAS servers must be restarted for the changes to take effect.
svc_nas <NAS SERVER NAME> -restart
