Симптомы

Un utente riscontra un errore di backup VSS su un nodo in un cluster. Anche se l'altro nodo ha sempre esito positivo, la risorsa problematica ha esito negativo con il seguente messaggio di errore: 
11/16/17 17:42:37.343548 WINDOWS ROLES AND FEATURES: sow_init_save_sysset_walker () called 11/16/17 17:42:37.343548 WINDOWS ROLES AND FEATURES: sow_save: Failed to get writers list for WINDOWS ROLES AND FEATURES: WINDOWS ROLES AND FEATURES: ERROR: Failed to get writers list for WINDOWS ROLES AND FEATURES: 95088:save: Cannot back up the volume save set because the initialization of VSS did not succeed.
Ciò indica una situazione in cui i writer VSS non vengono riconosciuti correttamente, impedendo così il completamento dell'operazione VSS.

L'errore viene riprodotto con policy di backup pianificate e con l'esecuzione di save .

L'esecuzione del save su entrambi gli host dei nodi è necessario per riprodurre l'errore e consente un confronto affiancato dei log generati: 
C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\bin>save -D9 -s myserver -b Datadomain -o "VSS:NSR_SYS_WRITER_WIN32_SERVCOMP_USER=yes" C:\Lgto\nmsap91_win_x64\win_x64\networkr\file_to_backup
I due registri sono sincronizzati fino a quando non viene attivato il metodo riportato di seguito: 
PopulateSupportedWriterList() Enter
Dopo questo punto, entrambi i nodi mostrano: 
CVssSysReqBackup::Init(): Successfully updated writer list.
Quindi entrambi i nodi avviano i passaggi di convalida del writer con il metodo: 
IsWriterSupported()
È qui che inizia la differenza:

Al termine, viene ricevuto quanto segue nel NODO DUE: 
95088:save: Cannot back up the volume save set because the initialization of VSS did not succeed
In NODE ONE, il registro di debug mostra che durante l'esecuzione del metodo, viene utilizzato l'elenco di writer di sistema supportato predefinito: 
 PopulateSupportedWriterList()

Al posto di: 
PopulateDefaultSupportedWriterList().

Dopo aver controllato nel file system client NODO DUE, viene visualizzato un elenco di writer fornito dall'utente che è un file a 0 byte: 
C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\bin>dir writerlist.txt
Volume in drive C has no label.
Volume Serial Number is 5F41-F8xx
Directory of C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\bin
11/10/2017  10:01 AM                 0 writerlist.txt
1 File(s)              0 bytes
0 Dir(s)  33,237,905,408 bytes free
Viene utilizzato per popolare l'elenco di writer durante l'esecuzione del metodo: 
 PopulateUserSupportedWriterList()
Essendo un file a 0 byte che non contiene nulla, il 
PopulateUserSupportedWriterList() 
Impossibile creare una struttura di dati coerente per i writer che vengono quindi impostati come non supportati.

Разрешение

È necessaria la rimozione del file a 0 byte dal file system NODE TWO. 
C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\bin\writerlist.txt
Quando si utilizza: 
PopulateDefaultSupportedWriterList()
Consente il completamento del save operazione.

Una volta eseguita la rimozione:
  • SECONDO NODO:

Come quello che vediamo su NODE ONE. I backup VSS sono ora possibili con NODE TWO.
