PowerStore: Remote System latency modification does not take effect immediately (User Correctable)

Summary: During replication session synchronization, modifying the remote system latency does not take effect for such sessions. These replication session syncs keep using the previous latency which was there before the modification. ...

Symptoms

After modifying the remote system latency, the replication session syncs keep using the previous configured latency.

Cause

When the replication session synchronization starts, it reads the configured latency and does not pick up the change when user modifies it.

This issue is only when latency is modified during the ongoing replication session synchronization. Once the current session synchronization completes, the next session synchronization picks up the modified latency.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, let the current session synchronization complete and the next session synchronization picks up the modified latency automatically.

If the user wants the ongoing session synchronization to use new latency, use PowerStore Manager, or REST interface to Pause and Resume ongoing replication session synchronization.

If replication session is not synchronizing when latency was modified, no action is required as the next replication session synchronization pick up the modified latency.

This issue is planned to be addressed in a future release.
