Removing the keyboard

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Flip the computer and open the display to access the keyboard.
  4. To remove the keyboard:
    1. Using a plastic scribe, release the keyboard from the edges [1] and lift the keyboard from the computer [2].
    2. Release the latch and disconnect the keyboard cables from the connectors on the system board [3, 4].
