Removing the vFlash media unit

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
  3. Keep the Phillips #1 screwdriver ready.

Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that are shipped with your product.

Steps

  1. Remove the screw securing the vFlash media unit to the chassis.
  2. Remove the cable from the vFlash media unit and the backplane.
  3. Slide the vFlash media unit toward the front of chassis and lift it out of the system.
