Procedure

  1. Disconnect the optical-drive data and power cable from the optical drive.
  2. Remove the screw that secures the drive cage to the chassis.
  3. Slide and lift the drive cage out of the chassis.
    • NOTE: Note the orientation of the optical drive so that you can replace it correctly.

  4. Remove the screws that secure the optical drive to the drive cage.
  5. Slide the optical drive out of the drive cage.
