Removing the Speakers

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover

    2. battery

    3. memory

    4. hard-drive assembly

    5. keyboard trim

    6. keyboard

    7. palmrest

  3. Disconnect the speaker cable from its connector on the system board [1] and release the speaker cables from their routing channels [2]. Figure displaying how to disconnect the speaker cable from the system board and how to release the speaker cable from its routing channel.
  4. Perform the following steps to remove the speakers from the computer:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the speakers to the computer [1].
