Creating a Boot disk UEFI USB key

  1. Obtain a UEFI shell executable. You can download the unsigned reference shell from: Sourceforge Download Center.
  2. Save the file as: bootx64.efi
  3. Format the USB Stick with FAT 32
  4. In the USB Key, create the directory: \efi\boot
  5. Copy the file bootx64.efi to the directory \efi\boot on the USB Key.
