LAN status LED

The RJ-45 connector includes two LEDs in the top corners. When the connection is oriented as shown below, the LED in the top-left corner is the link integrity LED and the one in the top-right corner is the network activity LED.

The link integrity LED can display three colors: green, orange, and yellow. These colors indicate the three possible network connection speeds: 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1000 Mbps, respectively. The LAN controller supports two status LEDS. A link LED displays the current transfer rate supported (10, 100, or 1000Mbps), while the activity LED indicates when the card is receiving or transmitting data. The following table illustrates the LEDs' operation.
