Procedure

  1. Using your fingertips, open the system badge.
  2. Remove the screw (M1.6x6) that secures the base cover to the palm-rest assembly.
  3. Remove the eight screws (M2x3, Torx) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest assembly.

  4. Starting from the back of the computer, pry up the base cover using a plastic scribe.
  5. Lift the base cover off the palm-rest assembly.
