Dell UCC Edge solution overview

The Utility Configuration Collector (UCC) Edge is a Dell Technologies software-metering solution that Dell Technologies deploys in your VMware virtual environment. UCC Edge collects, compresses, and encrypts the asset metadata that is transferred to Dell Technologies (using Dell Connectivity or secure FTP) before being processed.

You have full control over all the collections and accept responsibility for the UCC Edge VM, user logins (UCC Edge and asset) as well as any internal network or firewall changes.
