Removal
Side Cover
Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
Slide and lift the side cover off the chassis.
Front bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
Gently pry and release the front bezel tabs sequentially from the top.
Rotate the front bezel outward from the chassis and remove the front bezel.
Hard Drive Carrier
Disk drive cage
Identify the disk drive cage highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw to release the disk drive cage from the chassis..
Lift the disk drive and detach it from the mounting points on the chassis.
Rotate the drive cage and place it on the chassis.
Lift the disk drive cage away from the computer.
Wireless Module
Internal Antenna kit
Identify the internal antenna kit highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws that secure the internal antenna kits to the chassis.
Remove the internal antenna kits from the chassis.
Unroute the internal antenna kit cable from the routing guides on the chassis
Gently pull the internal antenna kit cable out from the hole on the chassis.
Install
Internal Antenna kit
Identify the internal antenna kit location highlighted in blue.
Remove the protection mylars from the internal antennas.
Insert the white cable antennas into the ANT-W slots on the chassis.
Insert the Black cable antennas into the ANT-B slots on the chassis.
Install the screws that secure the internal antennas to the chassis.
Route the internal antenna cable through the routing guides on the chassis.
Wireless Module
Disk drive cage
Identify the disk drive cage location highlighted in blue.
Place the disk drive cage upside down on the chassis.
Connect the data and power cable to the connectors on the optical drive.
Hold the disk drive cage upright and match its mounting points with the slots on the chassis.
Align the screw hole on the cage with the screw hole on the chassis.
Install the screw to secure the disk drive cage in place.
Route the power and data cables through the routing guide on the disk drive cage.
Hard Drive Carrier
Front bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue.
Align the front cover tabs with the slots on the chassis.
Rotate the front cover towards the chassis and snap it into place.
Side Cover
Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.
Slide the side cover towards the front of the computer.
Tighten the captive screws that secure the side cover to the chassis.
