Removal
System Cover
Identify the system cover highlighted in blue.
Lift the release latch until the system cover slides back.
Lift the cover from the system.
PCI Air Shroud
Identify the cooling shroud highlighted in blue
Holding the air shroud at the blue touch points, lift it out of the system
Processor Air Shroud
Identify the cooling shroud highlighted in blue
Holding the air shroud at the blue touch points, lift it out of the system
Riser 1 Module
Identify the riser 1 module highlighted in blue
Using a Philips #2, loosen the captive screw.
Using the blue touch points, lift the riser from the connector on the system board
Rider 2 and 3 Module
System memory
Select the system memory you want to replace
To release the memory, press the ejectors on both ends of the memory module socket to fully open.
Lift the memory module away from the system.
BOSS S1 module
Holding the blue tag, pull the BOSS module away from the system board connector.
Processor and heat sink module
System Board
Identify the system board highlighted in blue
Disconnect 3 power cables from the system board.
Disconnect the data cables (1-3 depending on configuration) from the system board.
Disconnect the fan cables (Fans 4,5,6) from the system board.
Disconnect the control panel and USB cable.
Remove the screws that secure the system board. Remove in order.
Slide the system board toward the fans to clear the ports and remove the board.
Install
System Board
Identify the system board location highlighted in blue
Slide the system board into the chassis to clear the ports and lower into the chassis, using the alignment posts.
Install the screws in order and secure the system board to the chassis.
Connect the control panel and USB cable to the system board.
Connect the fan cables (Fans 4, 5, 6) and route them along the channel.
Connect the data cables (1-3 depending on configuration) to the system board.
Connect 3 power cables to the system board.
Processor and heat sink module
BOSS S1 module
Align and insert the BOSS card module with the connectors on the system board.
System memory
Confirm the system memory you want to replace.
Align notch with tab and insert memory into the slot.
Press the memory module evenly until the memory click into place.
Rider 2 and 3 Module
Riser 1 Module
Identify the riser 1 module location highlighted in blue
Holding the blue touch points, lower the riser 1 module into the slot and press down until its connected.
Using a Philips #2, tighten the captive screw.
Processor Air Shroud
Identify the cooling shroud location highlighted in blue
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
PCI Air Shroud
Identify the cooling shroud location highlighted in blue
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
System Cover
Identify the system cover location highlighted in blue.
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system.
Close the system cover release latch.
